AI Travel Translator ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is developed by Next Salution. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it's collected, how it's used, and who it's shared with — in plain language.

The App requests camera access so you can point your camera at signs, menus, documents, or text and have it scanned and translated. Photos you capture are sent to our translation service (see "Third-Party Processing" below) to detect and translate text, and are optionally saved to your device's local history so you can revisit past scans. We do not access your camera or photo library without your action, and we do not use captured images for any purpose other than providing the translation you requested.
Voice Translate and Live Conversation use your device's microphone and Apple's on-device Speech Recognition to convert spoken words into text, which is then translated. Audio is processed to produce a text transcript; we do not store raw audio recordings.
Text you type or paste for translation (in the App or via the TranslateKeyboard keyboard extension) is sent to our translation service to produce a translation.
Past scans, translations, and conversations are stored locally on your device so you can review them later. This history is not uploaded to our servers and stays on your device unless you delete the App or clear it yourself within the App.
If you enable the TranslateKeyboard keyboard extension with "Allow Full Access," it can access the internet to perform translations directly from any app you're typing in. Text you choose to translate through the keyboard is sent to our translation service the same way as text translated within the main App. The keyboard extension does not access your typing in other apps beyond what's needed to perform a translation you explicitly request (e.g., tapping "Translate").
The App checks your device's network connectivity to let you know when you're offline, since translation features require an internet connection.
Translations, text extraction from images, and conversational replies are generated by sending your photos, text, and speech-to-text transcripts (see the table above) to Groq, Inc., a third-party AI inference provider, over an encrypted connection. Groq processes this data solely to return a translation or reply to the App — it is not one of our own servers.
Before any of these features can be used, the App shows an explicit, one-time consent screen naming Groq and listing exactly what data will be sent. Translation features do not function until you agree. You can review this disclosure again at any time from Settings → "Data Sharing & Third-Party AI."
We require Groq to maintain data protection practices consistent with the protections described in this Privacy Policy for any data we send them. Groq does not receive your name, contact details, or any other directly identifying information from us — only the content of the specific translation request itself.
We do not sell your data to Groq or any other third party, and we do not use your scans, translations, or voice transcripts for advertising.
The App offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (weekly and annual) purchased through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple — we do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple may share limited transaction information (such as subscription status) with us to determine your access level within the App. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.
The App does not require account creation or login. We do not collect your name, email address, or other directly identifying information unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by contacting us for support).
Local history (scans, translations, conversations) remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes this local data from your device.
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
